Around the shows

Canterbury A&P 150th Show (November 16):


Ballineen Blue Mountain, owned by Lisa and Malcolm Beck of Golden Oaks Stud and prepared and exhibited by Tracy Crossan, took out Champion Adult In-hand Horse, Supreme Champion In-hand Horse and the Irish Horse Society Sash.


Louise Allan and Terrington Diamond were winners of the Hunter Turnout and Type classes.


Ballineen Blue Mountain, ridden by Tracy Crossan to win the Champion Ridden Stallion title.


HV Wolfetone, owned by Tracy Crossan and ridden by Paula Hippolite take out Champion Saddle Hunter.



Sara White and Trevalda Rock of Cashel continued their winning ways this season by taking out Reserve Champion Level 4 at the recent Wellington Dressage Championships.


Anna Miles and her yearling, Ghoststream by Northwood Jet-Stream, taking out Champion Led Hack at the South Canterbury Horse Show.


Annika Jackson and Waterford Ciara had great success at the Matamata A&P Show.


Kathryn Angus of KPH Stud, with her two year old Coalman's Touch filly, KPH Miss Bracknell, taking out Reserve Champion Sporthorse at Manawatu A&P Show.


Steven and Kristy King Turner's young Coalman's Touch gelding, Trevalda Irish Peat, winning a large two-year-old in-hand Horse class at Nelson A&P Show.

Around the shows

Trevalda Ruby Irish, owned by Sophie McSkimming (handled by Harley Quinn) were 3yr old winners in-hand at the McKenzie (Fairlie) A&P Show, and then took out Champion Led Youngstock.

HV Wolfetone and Tracy Crossan, were Champion Hunter, and Grand Champion Horse at Wanaka (Upper Clutha) A&P Show, March 2012.

Desiree Bond and her four year old Coalman's Touch gelding, Trevalda DaVinci at the recent Central Otago Dressage Tournament where they won their first test, with the highest percentage overall hacks with 80%. Vinnie scored 19/20 for paces and submission.

Sarah Barr and Trevalda King Irish did themselves proud at HOY 2012, placing fifth in Debutante Saddle Hunter Horse of The Year.

Our newest purebred Irish Draught stallion in New Zealand, Ballineen Blue Mountain looked gorgeous in the stallion parade at HOY 2012.

Annika Jackson and her Coalman's Touch filly Waterford Ciara at their first outing, Morrinsville A&P Show. Ciara won several prizes including 1st place in suitability for Field Hunting and 1st in suitability for SJ.

Around the shows

Trevalda Irish Sporthorses' (Tracy Crossan and Sandra Geddes) pair of Coalmans Touch progeny, doing the Irish horse proud at the recent Maniototo A&P Show. Trevalda Irish Gem was Champion Sporthorse Youngstock, Irish Sash winner and Supreme Champion Led Sporthorse. HV Wolfetone was Champion Sporthorse Adult, and Reserve Champion Ridden Saddle Hunter.

Rachel Blackie's Oisin was in superb wining form again, taking out Supreme Champion Youngstock at the North Auckland In-hand Show.

Around the shows

Michelle Morgan's Baton River (14 months), By Token Romance and out of the Laughton's Legend mare, Needles and Threads. They had a super day at the Arab/Welsh In-hand Show at Motueka in January, taking out Champion Youngstock, Irish Sash winner, and Res Grand Champion in the Hack ring.

Stacey Anderson and her wonderful Saddlery Barn Cruiser, have been travelling the country competing with great distinction, and making a wonderful job of promoting the Irish horse. Stacey and Cruiser have notched up some great wins in Young Rider classes, 2 star and GP from as far South as Gore, and as far North as Horowhenua. Stacey is proving herself to be one of the country's young showjumping stars, and her Irish mount is well and truly keeping up to the task.

Imogen Neale's 2yr old gelding, Northwood Alto, pictured at the Clevedon A&P Show, where he won suitability for Saddle Hunter, Dressage and his 2yr old class, and went on to take out Reserve Champion Youngstock. 'Toy' by Northwood Jet-Stream and out of Imogen's stationbred mare, Ping, has now been started under saddle, and we look forward to seeing him out and about.

Around the shows


HV Wolfetone ridden by Kathryn Nichol, takes out Champion Hunter and Supreme Champion Hack at Lake Hayes A&P Show.


Rachel Blackie and her homebred foal Oisin who is by Coalman's Touch and out of Radar (Rachel's eventing mare, by Craighaven Waingata). Oisin won Reserve Champion Younstock at Warkworth A&P Show, winning both suitability for Dressage and Eventing classes.
Dorothy Lennard and Glentullock had huge success at the recent New Zealand National Horse and Pony Show in Hastings. They took out the Senior Equitation, Supreme NZ bred Horse, Supreme Saddle Hunter and Supreme Paced and Mannered.


Kathryn Nichol on Trevalda Conniebrae, Tracy Crossan on HV Wolfetone, and Rachel Walker's Coniston Maisie line-up as placegetters in the Otago-Taieri A&P Shows Ridden Registered Irish horse class. All three are by Coalmans Touch, and all three were started under saddle by Tracy Crossan.
