Congratulations to Tim and Jonelle Price, both on the podium at Kentucky this year. Tim second aboard Xavier Faer and Jonelle third on Grovine de Reve. Tim and Jonelle (aboard Classic Moet) both finished on their dressage scores and were the only two combinations in the field to do so. Oliver Townend won on his Irish horse Ballaghmor Class so a great day for lovers and supporters of Irish Horses.

Just a quick newsletter to update you on our AGM which has been set as follows:
Thursday 17 June 2021
The Talbot Restaurant in Yaldhurst, Canterbury
Meeting 7pm but all welcome to meet at 6pm for a meal prior to the AGM
Nomination forms are now in the forms section of the website and need to be with the secretary 14 days prior to the AGM.
Note as always, only fully paid up members can nominate or be nominated. Subs are not due until 1 August so if you paid your sub last year then you should be a paid up member at the AGM. Please feel free to contact Lyn our secretary to check on this if unsure - email@example.com
There are 4 councillors that retire this year by rotation.
We are also needing people interested in taking on some key roles in the society - positions needing to be filled are Chair, Vice Chair, Registrar, Secretary and Treasurer.
At this stage we do not plan to use Zoom for the AGM but may reconsider this if need be. But happy to report we successfully used Zoom at our last council meeting to allow councillors to join in without travelling. With some tweaking we see this being the way forward to include people from around NZ who wish to get involved.
If you have a passion for the breed please consider getting involved - these are not big jobs with the exception of the Registrar which does involve significant time input.
Please feel free to contact our President Lisa Clark to discuss if you are interested in any of these roles and would like more information.

Well its been a strange year so far, with many of us feeling frustrated at not being able to get out and about with our horses and no competitions to train for!
In April 2020 we ran a virtual show where we could keep our bubbles intact but still have some horsey fun. Thanks to Lisa Clark for organising and running this, it was a great success and great to see so many photos of beautiful Irish horses doing their thing.
